Game time!

I am very prepared. I am very well-trained. I do one element at a time. I do each element. I perform. I breathe. I am right here, right now. I breathe. I skate first in the second warm-up. I breathe. I experience right now. I do one element at a time. I do each element. I am a great skater. I do what I do.

I have set my intention for this evening: I take each element at a time! I do each element! I rotate each jump!!

Happy watching!!

Braden,
I know you must be disappointed with your jumps tonight (understatement, I know :-( ) but I thank you for staying fully committed to the rest of your program. It really was a beauty. As always, it was a pleasure to watch you skate. I'm so looking forward to your long program! :=)

I agree with mgirl...you are probably pretty bummed tonight. I can tell from your posts that you really wanted to go into Nationals and have two of the best skates of your career.

I'm actually volunteering there and I saw your practice on Thursday morning. You had a great presence on the ice and you were wonderful to watch.

I hope you head into the free skate with your head held high and knock our frozen socks off. :)

Braden, that's an amazing short program. I absolutely loved it -- and obviously Nancy did too with all of the praise she had for you. Can't wait to see your long program!

Braden,
I was watching your SP on icenetwork tonight and my heart goes out to you tonight! I could only imagine what you must be feeling now.

It's weird! Tonight's SP didn't look anything like that video I saw on Thursday's practice. It was as if some alien stole your body and you had to get a new body and quickly get adjusted to it at the very last minute or something. "Too many minds?" (If you have watched "The Last Samarai" w/Tom Cruise, you'll know what I mean...) And I'll second mgirl's comment and also thank you for staying all the way thru the rest of the program. I still love your choreography, footwork and your spins!!!

For the long: Skate for yourself and from the heart!!! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!!! Show us how much you love this sport!!! If you can't skate for yourself, then skate for your readers on the blog! Can't hurt... (Speaking of which.... okay, guys! Fess up! Which one of you guys were holding the "Get Overett" banner in the stands??? I saw 'ya too!!! LOL!!! :-) )
